In Fall 2017, he took his first Syllabus exam with the Oregon Music Teachers Association (OMTA) and successfully passed Level seven (out of ten levels).
In March 2018, he was selected to play in the master class with Xiaohui Yang, sponsored by Portland Piano International. In April 2018, he was invited to perform at the master class sponsored by the Yamaha Corporation of America and Classic Pianos. He also won the Gold Medal at the OMTA Romantic Festival in May 2018. Most recently, he was selected as a finalist in the international Best Debussy Performance Competition, member of Great Composers Competition Series.
He loves listening to music, especially classical music from Romantic and Classical period. His favorite composers are Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart, and Debussy.
Other than music, Brendan loves reading, playing tennis, swimming, and playing with LEGO.
