Linus began to play the piano at the age of seven. Having come to Australia in 2012 with his family, he has been gaining pleasant experiences from various musical activities in Canberra, as an accompanist for various community choirs and singing groups - which also allowed soloist experiences occasionally. This encouraged him to take a higher education in music at the Australian National University, after completing the Bachelor’s degree in Arts with international relations major, also at the ANU.
He was awarded some scholarships and prizes from the ANU – Dennis Griffin National Piano Undergraduate Scholarship, Imad Nassir Prize for Encouragement in Piano Performance, and Friend Ensemble Prize for the first prize and people’s choice. This year, he began to reach out for competitions and has seen some successful achievements, winning Third and People's Choice prizes in the Whitworth Roach Classical Music Competition and the first place in 2017 ACT Young Virtuoso Award. He is hoping to keep working hard to enjoy the musical path over a long term.
