Jeremy Chen, 17 years old, from Great Neck, New York, USA.
As an accomplished oboist, I have been studying oboe and English horn at The Juilliard School Pre-College Division for the past three years. I played Principal Oboe on Beethoven's 7th Symphony with the Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra at The Peter Jay Sharp Theater last year.
In the summer of 2018, I performed with the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra, serving as the 1st oboe with Richard Goode in Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20.
As a 1st place winner of the American Protégé Woodwinds and Brass International Competition 2016, I performed as a soloist in the Winners Recital at Carnegie Hall. I have also performed in Tilles Center as a Regional Winner of Lincoln Center’s Chamber Music Society, Young Musicians Program in 2017.
