She got her Bachelors degree at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Mexico studying with piano faculty chairwoman Dr. Antonina Dragan and has won national and international piano competitions such as "Jóvenes Virtuosos 2013" (Monterrey, Nuevo León, México), “Jóvenes Virtuosos 2014" (Monterrey, Nuevo León, México) and “The Art of Piano 2018” (London, UK). She has also performed in important halls of her city such as Auditorio San Pedro and the University Theatre of UANL and has been invited to perform in cultural events at School of Medicine of Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and to be part of the jury in several piano competitions.
Silvia Salazar has participated in international piano symposiums and festivals in prestigious universities such as Oxford University (UK), Princeton University (USA) and Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (Mexico), receiving masterclasses from renowned pedagogues and concert artists. In 2014 she was invited to give Musical Appreciation workshops at the international piano festival “Festival Internacional y Masterclass de Piano Monterrey 2014”.
She currently teaches piano at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in the Precollege division, where her students have won piano competitions such as
"Concurso de Piano CM" in the 2016, 2017 and 2018 editions, “Jóvenes Virtuosos 2017” and the national competition for young pianists “Parnassós 2018”.
