Joana Bai is a 9th Grader of Pacific Academy in Irvine, California. She started learning the piano when she was five years old. At the age of seven, she decided to learn the violin when she watched her sister’s violin lesson. Joanna first studied with Mrs. Wendy Castille for five years. She is currently studying with Ms. Aimee Kreston. Joanna is the principal second violinist in PAFO(Pacific Academy Foundation Orchestra). Before joining PAFO, she played violin I in Pacific Symphony Youth Santiago Strings for three years. Since 2013, Joanna has been studying chamber music in Junior Chamber Music, Colburn Community School, and Orange County Music and Dance. Joanna has won many solo and chamber music awards.
Joanna is also an enthusiastic Model United Nations participant. She enjoys attending MUN conferences and has won many outstanding delegate awards.
